OCEAN HOPE SIMULATOR

Transforming Hope Into Actions

The aim of this project is to inspire everyone who sees it to transform their hope for the ocean into everday actions. This simulator is designed to simulate the impact of our everyday actions on our oceans' health. When you begin the simulator, the ocean is at its worst state as indicated by the ocean health indicator on top left. It's tinted green, lacks a rich ocean life with fish, shellfish, turtles, octopus etc. and has bleached corals because of carbon emissions. It is littered with bottles and straws because of plastic pollution. Clicking on the gear icon to the right of the health indicator to toggle the settings panel, you can adjust various sliders that represent human activities ranging from reusing bags to eating less meat. Experiment with the sliders to see how we can all do our part to help save our oceans. For more information of the factors affecting ocean health, click on the buttons to the right of each slider.
